Kaitlin Lambert is a professional trombonist and music instructor in the SF Bay Area. She holds a master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and earned her Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, she began her trombone career from a young age mentored by the leading brass professionals in the Chicagoland area. Throughout her studies, Kaitlin participated in national & international festivals, including the Cabrillo Festival, Prague Summer Nights Festival, and the Miami Music Festival. Before her collegiate career, Katie attended the Merit School of Music and Midwest Young Artists Conservatory.

Kaitlin is also a freelancer, playing with many bay area orchestras including, but not limited to the Bay Philharmonic and Stockton, California, and Santa Rosa symphonies. She’s also performed with many opera companies including Livermore Valley Opera, Opera Parallele, and Solo Opera. One highlight of her career was filling in for Matteo Bocelli’s Orchestra in Napa Valley.

As an educator, she provides masterclasses, coaching, and private lessons to trombone and euphonium students across the bay area. Currently she coaches brass students for several districts across the bay area, helping students develop proper technique, sound, and ensemble skills. Having studied with over 6 mentors, she is passionate about sharing their knowledge and building the next generation of great low brass players.
